Gardenias provide us with inspiration of being graceful....

Gardenias, like Women, provide us with the inspiration of being graceful.  Their beautiful scent invites us to forgive others freely and be most patient with ourselves. 

 

Their green velvety foliage and deliciously fragrant blossoms make the Gardenia a favorite of mine – they smell so amazing!

 

 

The Gardenia was actually named after Dr. Alexander Garden, who was a Scottish-born naturalist.  This beautiful flower actually says “You are lovely”. 

 

Women of the World:

·       You are graceful as the beautiful Gardenia – your beautiful scent reaching out from your soul to  uplift and inspire others

·       As the Victorians used to interpret the Gardenia, it means you are lovely, with their unblemished color of white representing love

·       As Women of the World, we harmonize with the Gardenia, as a symbol of purity and spirituality

Orchids, like Women, a sign of Life and Hope

Amazing and beautiful orchids reside in my kitchen, facing the window that views my front garden.  They provide to me, an idealistic reminder of strength and beauty every time I gaze at them in awe.

The orchids have special watering needs and I am careful in their care.  Sometimes, as I feel the dry soil in the pot, I wonder sadly if it is going to die;  however, a few days later, the orchid surprises with arriving buds that blossom unexpectedly and I gather strength and inspiration from this amazing flower.

Women of the World:

·       You are exotic and serene as an orchid – starting at first as only a tiny root, growing and blossoming to its full potential

·       As the orchid shares multiple flowers in a single stem, so are the Women of the World - generous and giving

·       The orchids remind me of Women’s everyday duties and tasks, reflected in the strong stems; while its petals - like the finest silk - mirror the beauty that is a Woman’s Soul

·       The orchid waits to bloom when it is ready, as each of us blooms at our own time and with our own uniqueness

Daisies in your garden? 

What a unique small flower!  With a face as a smiling sun, they shine day in and day out amongst other members of the garden bed.  It seems the dear daisies blossom everywhere, bringing their bright smile upon their small faces, welcoming and luring you to mirror their fair and sweet demeanor; as a little lady with a white and yellow hat that invites you to skip about and rejoice in your day.    

Women of the World:

·       Take inspiration in the daisy - she reflects sunny hours, withstanding wind and stormy showers, a hardy and strong delight to us all

·       Welcome daisies in your heart, that special little field flower, denoting gaiety, endurance and strength

·       Take inspiration on the daisies that we per chance meet on a daily basis, sometimes ignored amidst other more regal flowers; nonetheless inspiring in their humbleness

My garden is blossoming quite nicely with the recent rains.  I see the flowers’ petals dressed in dew in the mornings; and upon my return home from work in the early evening, the vibrant colors of each stem fill my vision. 

Butterflies and bees visit often, carefully moving from one flower to another.  After a hard day’s work, I welcome the peace and serenity found in my little garden, with such beauty and magic to behold.

·       Find moments of peace in your day so you may replenish your inner well

·       Look deep into thyself, for there is a magnificent source of strength within you

·       Cultivate your inner garden daily, may its blossoms fill you with sweet scents, inspire you to wondrous thoughts and reinforce your strong foundation
